A Stabilizing Force with Power and Love
It is such a wonderful life-changing experience to receive Jesus Christ as your savior and have this new life inside of you. Jesus Christ is the only door to salvation, there is no other way. He is the only one who paid the price for your sins with his own blood and then went to hell for you. But beloved there is even more for you to receive!
Jesus told the disciples that he had to leave them so the Holy Spirit could come. John 16:7 says, “Nevertheless, I tell you the truth, it is expedient for you that I go away, for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you, but if I depart, I will send him unto you.” Acts 1:8 says, “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria and to the ends of the earth.” There is a power that comes with the Holy Spirit. In Acts 19:2 Paul asked them, “Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed?” They answered, “No, we have not even heard that there is a Holy Spirit.” So, when Paul placed his hands on them the Holy Spirit came on them and they spoke in tongues and prophesied. When you receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit you receive a heavenly language called tongues. This is a direct communication between you and God. 1 Corinthians 14:15 says, “What is it then? I will pray with the spirit and I will pray with the understanding also; I will sing with the spirit and I will sing with the understanding also.” You can choose to speak in your own language that you understand with your mind and you can choose to speak in your heavenly language that is understood by your spirit.
When we pray in tongues, we pray the perfect will of God and it is very powerful and effective. This is stated in Romans 8:26-27, “In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans. And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit because the Spirit intercedes for God’s people in accordance with the will of God.” The Holy Spirit will use our prayers to cause them to hit the mark and be effective for God’s divine purposes!
Beloved, praying in tongues for our leaders in church, city, state, and nation is very effective and powerful! You can accomplish so much by simply praying in tongues. You can literally fight and war alongside those that are in authority over you by praying in tongues for them. If this is new for you read the book of Acts. Everything we receive from God is by faith.
I believe God has good plans for you and me and for our nation. When we pray the Lord’s prayer and say, “…thy kingdom come, they will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.” We are praying for earth to look like heaven. That is God’s desire for us and for the land we live in.
I admonish you to receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit. Lift up your hands right now and let's pray together. "Jesus baptize me with the Holy Spirit. I want to be filled and baptized with the Holy Spirit." Now open your mouth and make a sound from out of your belly and let the Holy Spirit pray through you. You may only have one sound but keep praying with that one word and more sounds will come. Pray in tongues every day through out the day. You will be an effective Stabilizing Force with Power and Love to bring peace to your heart and to bring justice into the earth.
