God's love heals us!
I had never seen anyone ever pray for a sick person. I didn’t know we could ask God to heal us and make us well, until I began attending a home Bible study where a few women met. I had already given my life to the Lord and experienced His love for me, but now I was finding out more about God’s nature and his love for all people. I found out there was more that Jesus accomplished on the cross than just our salvation. He also purchased our healing from all manner of sickness and disease. Working in a nursing home, I saw sick people every day, but never saw anybody ever pray for them to be well. I saw physical sicknesses and many people with sad hearts because of unfulfilled dreams. I asked God how to pray for them and he told me to just share his love with them. It was nothing magical, it was all motivated by God’s love and compassion for people. Healing was all paid for at the cross when Jesus paid the debt of our sin. All we have to do is receive him, receive what he did for us, receive his love for us, and receive his healing for our hearts and of our bodies.
As I began to share with some of my patients God’s love for them and that they were not alone, it opened up opportunities for me to pray for them. One woman’s hip completely calcified enabling her to come off of bed rest. Her leg also grew out and she did not need her built up shoe anymore. One woman became in her right mind, all dementia had cleared. She could walk and talk normally where she couldn’t before. People’s hearts come alive when they know that God is real and not just someone we read about in the Bible. Jesus Christ really did come to earth to die as the one-time sacrificial lamb of God for your sins and mine. His blood paid a debt, that we could never pay. All we have to do is acknowledge that we need a savior, His name is Jesus. If you would like to receive Jesus Christ as your savior and have a brand-new life, please pray with me.
Jesus, I know that I am dead inside without you.
I know that you died for me on the cross and destroyed death and sickness.
I know that you are now seated with God the Father in heaven.
I receive what you did for me when you died for me.
Forgive me for my sin and wash me clean.
Come into my heart and make my life brand new so I can know you more.
Heal my heart and my body of all sickness and disease.
I want to walk with you and talk with you everyday for the rest of my life.
